V1-3. Angels–given to hurt the earth and sea
    2 other angels cried with loud voice
    3 Hurt not earth neither sea, nor trees until servants are sealed
the heat and stench will be overwhelming

V4 144,000; 12,000 from each 12 tribes of Israel
    These are 144,000 virgin, Jewish men. Rev.14:4-5

Jews were selected to be a witness of God's love, deliverance, goodness to mankind.  They were selected from the time of Abraham, but they wanted to be like other nations.

Gentiles = nations

V9 Rapture of great multitude that listened to the 144,000
    they are:  clothed with white robes, have palms in their hands.

Nations:  1484––Ethnos (ethnic). non Jewish; race of the same habit; by implication:  pagan
Kindreds 5443––Phule (foo-lay) and off-shoot, [such as Samaritans]
People 2992 Laos––denotes one's own populace or people
Tongue 1100 Glossa–– a language; specially one naturally unaquired

V10 this great number from all nations, cried with a loud voice

V11-12 in response to the great multitude

V13 one of the elders asked "Who are these...?"

V14 Out of the great tribulations

V15 They serve night and day in the temple

V16-17 no more hunger–the Lamb Himself shall feed them, lead them–living fountain; wipe away all tears
